KAYE HOTSENPILLER,
CEO
Chief Executive Officer
Kaye Hotsenpiller, joined River Valley’s management team in 2018. Ms. Hotsenpiller has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management. Prior to coming to River Valley, Ms. Hotsenpiller served as Senior Director of Regional Services for Hilltop Community Resources for twenty-four (24) years, where she designed and directly managed the Child and Family, Adult, and Youth Programs in Montrose, Delta, and Mesa counties. Ms. Hotsenpiller has extensive experience working at both the local and state level to advance services for the homeless and underserved; broaden the early childhood continuum; and build domestic violence and sexual assault services for crime survivors. Ms. Hotsenpiller began as COO in 2018, and transitioned to CEO in November 2021. She is excited to continue to move the organization forward. She and her husband have 4 children and one granddaughter.
CASEY PAYNE,
CFO
Chief Financial Officer
Casey Payne, recently joined River Valley in November 2019. Mr. Payne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana. He has over twelve years’ experience as an accountant, ten of those years serving as the CFO at three separate Federally Qualified Health Centers. Prior to healthcare Mr. Payne previously worked at Bruce & Company P.S.C. located in Madisonville, KY for two years, preceding RHCA, working as an Accounting Assistant. There Mr. Payne prepared tax returns for businesses and individuals as well as maintaining their monthly accounting records. Bruce & Company dates back over 20+ years and its employees have spawned other CPA firms in the local area. Mr. Payne and his wife Criston, a former Real-estate Agent for Coldwell Banker, reside in the community of Montrose, CO. In his leisure time he enjoys spending time with family, working on his house, boating, soon to be skiing, travel, automotive and painting. The greatest joy in his life, however, is spending time with his children Alexandra Nicole Payne and Maxwell Oliver Payne.
JEANNIE MUELLER,
PA-C, CMO
Chief Medical Officer
Jeannie Mueller has been with River Valley since 2012 and has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. Not only is she a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), she is a Registered Dietician (RD) and a Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE). Mrs. Mueller has extensive experience in all aspects of patient care for pediatric and family practice including detailed history and physical examinations, development of treatment plans, prescription of medication, and ordering and interpreting laboratory test and diagnostic studies. Prior to becoming a PA-C, Ms. Mueller worked at the local and state level to provide outreach and education on diabetes, healthy eating and lifestyles, and disease prevention for Delta County Memorial Hospital, Head Start of Montrose, Colorado State University Cooperative Extension, and the American Heart Association. As CMO, Mrs. Mueller has led River Valley in developing clinical goals and implementing the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Plan, and federally-approved Scope of Practice. Mrs. Mueller coaches, mentors, and trains medical staff, setting clear expectations and professional development goals.
JESSICA SWEET,
Chief Operations Officer
Jessica Sweet has been with River Valley since 2020 has managed and lead multiple departments within the organization. Jessica started with River Valley as a Front Desk supervisor and has since held positions including the Quality Assurance Quality Improvement Director. Jessica has her Bachelor’s degrees in Mexican American Studies and Communication from the University of Arizona. Prior to working in health care, Jessica worked in retail developing teams ranging in size from 10 to 80. Jessica’s personal passions include painting, music, and automotive racing. Jessica resides in Montrose with her husband of over 14 years, Shane and their two children, Silas, and Sawyer.
